ABetX is a
betting exchange which enables online bettors to place
opposing bets person to person without a
bookmaker intermediary. Their
auction
betting exchange model employs proprietary auction
algorithm technology which matches all successful bet
offers at one moment in time. All buyers and sellers can
make their offers just before the auction closing time,
thereby minimising their exposure.
Users can bet on a 100% book eliminating the spread that exists between the price at which a bet can be readily backed or laid on traditional betting exchanges. They also have the opportunity to offer their bet without revealing their intentions to the wider market, again something which cannot be done on a traditional betting exchange. ABetX operates with a commission rate of 1% compared with the 5% base rate charged by Betfair, the dominant traditional betting exchange.
